The scholastic bowl team is pictured with their 4th place trophy and their medals.

Cumberland High School competed in the IHSA State Finals at Heartland Community College in Normal on Saturday, March 22. They had a very successful day and came away with the 4th place state trophy!

The team started the day in pool play, and their scores in the prelims were:
CHS 230 - Pleasant Plains 370
CHS 420 - Winnebago 180
CHS 280 - Eureka 270

CHS went 2-1 in the morning rounds which placed them as the #2 seed in Pool A. They would go on to play in the 3rd place match.

3rd Place Game:
CHS 210 - Niles (Northridge Prep) 360

For the day, Camden James had 17 tossups, Rylan James had 15 tossups, Jad Shoot had eight tossups, and Lauren Stevens had two tossups.

With the 4th place finish, the team's current record is 77-20. We are very proud of all their accomplishments this year! They are not finished, though.
