At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, Randy Hurt, Jill Mathenia, Auddie Maynard, and Tara Beard will retire from Cumberland CUSD #77.
Randy Hurt has worked as a bus driver for the school district for 27 years. Randy is someone who the students, parents, and staff could count on. Randy did an excellent job as a driver, but he was also a great resource when he spent time teaching the students about conservation in 3rd and 4th grade.
Jill has worked for the district for 15 years, 7 as an aide in speech classes and 8 as the district Speech and Language Pathologist. She is very knowledgeable in her job and approaches to helping students succeed. She is a kind and dedicated person who students loved to visit!
Auddie Maynard has worked 11 years in the elementary and middle school kitchen, with the majority of those as head cook. Auddie always greeted the students and staff with a smile and asked about their day. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure everyone is taken care of.
This was Tara Beard’s first year in the district, but she has taught for a total of 30 years. Students enjoyed being in her classroom doing all sorts of neat projects. She made the year extra special for the students.
Each will be missed in the district. We wish them well as they begin their retirement!
